These are the items, levels, and characters you can unlock in the Super Mario Galaxy 2 Game:

Luigi – How to Unlock Luigi – Find the Flotacious Blimp Fruit Star located in the Tall Trunk Galaxy. Beating the level will allow you access to the time trial ghost.

The Staff Ghosts – How to Unlock the Staff Ghosts – You first need to have unlocked Luigi to unlock the ghosts. Beating a level with Luigi will unlock these ghosts, called ‘Staff Ghosts’ as they were specially made by the game developers.

Green Stars - You need to beat the game with 120 GOLD Stars to unlock 120 additional green stars.
