Prices for cards from 2000-present are easy to find from the major brands (Topps, Upper Deck). Trying to get a certain player card in packs of new cards could cost you a fortune! You can get a Carlos Pena Rays card for $1 in MINT condition, and the card store will usually give your the protective card sleeve, so you can bring it to the game without getting it damaged. Also, ALWAYS bring a nice pen that can write on the surface of the card. A thin black Sharpe is recommended – you never know when you will encounter players signing autographs!
